Ernst Hansch Construction was the contractor chosen by Toromont CAT to complete the design build of their new Winnipeg Branch which combined the sales, service and parts distribution functions of their business in one location.

The Toromont CAT Winnipeg Branch consists of three pre-engineered steel structures. The 700 ft2 Gate House controls access to the site. A 9,500 ft2 Utility Building contains the specialty bays (EPG and engine test cells, dyno test, wash, welding, storage and paint bays).

The 50,000 ft2 Main Building includes Toromont CAT’s showroom and sales office as well as their warehouse and loading docks. East of the sales and warehouse area are the tractor service bays, a main floor service office, tool crib, oil storage room and the 8 truck service bays. A 2nd level lunchroom, customer lounge, training room and change rooms for service personnel are located above the service office.
