Ernst Hansch Construction Ltd. was awarded the City of Winnipeg contract for the Norwood Bridge Deck Overlay.

The high density concrete overlay was the final roadway surface. The special Silica Fume Concrete mixture, with high cement content, granite aggregate and special additive, was used to achieve the required thickness of 125mm.

The upper lift concrete bridge deck was placed using a special concrete overlay machine and a moveable bridge deck hoarding.
